Posts: 357 Location: Duluth, MN | So my 101 cable drive exploded this weekend... Yay I get to drop $1500 on a new one! By the end of the week I might add. Anyways, I know I want a terrova, with the I pilot. The question is do I really need a 101, or is an 80 sufficient? I like the idea of an 80 so I can free up a battery solely for electronincs, stereo etc and then have another soley for starting the big motor and the kicker. Any words of wisdom from Ranger 620 owners with 80 lb terrovas?? Thanks Bob | ||

Posts: 1767 Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I don't think it's worth it to skimp on power...I run a 619 and putting a 101 on there is a dream. You can always make adjustments/other arrangements for storage and battery setup, you can't make adjustments of running out of power on your batteries or needing that extra boost in 25 MPH winds. my opinion, get the 101 and don't think twice. | ||

Posts: 5 | I had an 80 terrova on my 620T and most days it was fine with good batteries but long days in the wind it would be very slow on 10 at the end of the day. Got the 101 terrova and haven't regretted it at all | ||

Posts: 5 | I see your from Duluth but the motor clinic in Bloomington takes trades on broken tm they did have a couple 101 I pilots last time I was in there might b worth a shot | ||

Posts: 5874 | You're already set up for the 36V motor, and you're used to the power of the 36V motor. I would not go down in power. The added reserve will be worth it, also. | ||

Location: Eastern Ontario | I believe the I pilot will use more juice than your cable drive for the GPS and steering motor so I would stick with 36 volts | ||
