Does anyone have an idea what bead sizes are used or in any of the following inline Musky spinners? My assumption is that they all use solid brass beads. I also wonder if anyone has found a cheap substitute for lure Lungeon Double 10

Location: SE, WI. | You can use a lead keel weighted spinnerbait head. Probably one or two beads up in front of it. Not sure of cost difference though. JD |

Location: Detroit River | Most store bought bucktails use hollow beads. Hollow beads are ok if you cast but if you troll then a solid bead is needed below the clevis. Hollow beads cut into the clevis & will cause you to lose the blade while trolling frequently. For the body you can use the lead worm weights that bass fishermen use for Texas rigs etc. Just make sure the hole is big enough for the wire shaft to go through it. Another option is to make a mold of the lure body & use lead to make it. |

Location: Waconia, MN | I use a lot of the painted lead lure bodies, about half the price of the metal ones, work just the same. Go with the hollow metal beads unless trolling like noted above. I believe 5/16" beads are the ones you need, don't quote me on that though.... |

Location: Poynette WI. | yes 5/16 is very common bead for musky spinners, also 8-10mm are. I use alot of hollow beads on mine and have never had a problem with them, but i do not troll very often. |

Location: SE, WI. | Inline spinners for trolling....I like to use a spinnerbait head, preferably keel weighted. It keeps the dressing from spiraling...:(...Just add a couple of beads in front of weight. What I don't like is building a bucktail backwards.;)

Location: E. Tenn | 1/4 in. hollow beads are pretty widely used as well, especially on the Cowgirls, They also use a #69 brass body.

| i prefer to use solid 5/16 beads because it make thing more balanced and its way more durable,a lot more pricey than the hollow beads but it worth the price
