Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana | Ok, I know there was a post that turned ugly about the Predator, but now that everyone is fishing...How do you like them? I am interested in possibly getting one as soon as I get the money to do so.
I am not sure if I should get the 9' heavy or extra heavy. Which would be best for throwing everything from a beer belly glider to a pounder on occasion?

Location: Iowa Great Lakes | I have the Heavy and love it, wouldn't thow pounders with it but it excells with the big double blades. I'll be adding a EX for the plastics soon. It also rocks a Hellhound quite nicely to, that surprised me with a 9' rod. So far I have thrown down to #6-7 mepps with it and it throws them just as good as a Cowgirl. |

| I had one built up in 9'6" heavy. I've only used it once for a short time on opener, but first impression is that it will be an awsome big blade bait. Or even regular sized bucktails as well. Mine's rigged up with a trinidad so that kinda limits what I'll be throwing with it; only straight retrieve stuff. In my opinion you had better get the XH if you want to throw pounders. The heavy will be too light. Not sure how the XH would handle cowgirls though. I think people are asking a rod to do too much to throw both pounders and cowgirls. There is just too large of a weight difference between the two to get a rod that will throw both equally well. |

Location: Chicago | I got my H in the mail and love it. Both rods are for certain purposes not really both, but I would not suggest a H get the
xH that way your working baits down in it's capacity and not stressing the rod. |

Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana | They come in 8'6" and 9' they are made out of the same material as the legend, but they are only available through Thorne Brothers. But, the 9 footers are a 9 foot blank so there are no extensions. |

Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | The H is a great rod for blades and other mid weight applications. It throws mag dawgs like a dream but is a bit too soft for a really good hookset on rubber. (which I found out on opener)
Go with the XH, if you want to throw rubber and a multitude of bigger baits. |

Since you want to "throwing everything from a beer belly glider to a pounder on occasion" I would lean toward the heavy. I find it easier to throw lures on an undersized blank rather than too heavy of blank. |
