Ok, I had more follows in one day than in my life today. Between me and Esox14 we had 19. Most all of them were on gliders with a couple on a fred j tinsel tail and a super stalker. The gliders were doc, reef hawg, phantom, and undertaker. Honestly I don't think it was more than a couple different fish over and over again, but the gliders were unignorable to them but they wouldn't take them. What is with that? Is it just that they are so pressured and not really interested? By the way, I had never seen a fish on a glider til now.

The reason you didn't catch anything was because you forgot to tell Dave to send me that BOOK!!!!![;)] [:sun:]

Make sure you do a "change up" on your gliders. Stop the bait dead cold, twitch down, then give it two quick twitches and it will go left and a hard right and glide up. Then let it hang for a second. Do that 10 feet from the boat.

Thats when the eat the Undertaker..[;)]

Are we conditioning when they follow over and over.. I came back on them a few times. I was using the under taker w/ a really unsteady rythim and this fish was hot it was a small one but its nose was pretty much touching the back of the lure. Going into today I have never had a follow then to have about 15 is quite amazing. Another thing is what do you do when you get to the end of the retrieve w/ glide baits. They were uniterested in the figure 8 w/ the glider.

Schuler, on your lake a buddy of mine counted 49 follows in one day with no fish boated.

I would have tried to speed up your retrieve.Don't know if you tried that but I know speed does trigger some followers into eaters.Any way it sounds like you guys had a great day on the water! Paul

Me and Zach again had 6 and 1 strike follows today. None boated. About 10 minutes out there and I was working a Undertaker really erratic and uneven rythem and I did what you told me to do Jason let the thing drop for a couple seconds and then I just took off.. 123 really hard back and forth and I saw the musky it had it t-boned in its mouth but I couldn't get the hooks into him.. Another time I was working the Undertaker by some wood I had the guy following in he seemed kinda of somber so I let it drop about 10 feet out when I saw him sped up my retrieve and walked the dawg w/ the Undertaker all the way to the back of the boat then he just lost interest. But along the boat he had has mouth opened he kept opening and shutting it. I thought I was about to release my first of the year! Any thing else I can do to trigger a strike. Another time Zach had a follow and it lost interested but I still saw it so I threw a bucktail right in front of it but it wasn't interested in that. Any idea's guys? My guess it has to be all the pressure. Like Todd said the guy he knows had 49 follows.
