Anyone been throwing these bait with luck? I picked one up the other day and what little I have thrown it, really like it. Rides low in the water and action is good. Just wondering how others have faired with the bait.

I've thrown it a little with no luck. Reason I only throw it a little is it seems to want to dive on me all the time, especially if I work it a little faster. Does yours do the same thing? I'm not talking that fast either, what I would call a medium speed for those types of baits and it turns into a shallow glider. Big bait, seems solid, and when it does work ok it does kick some water around. any suggestions/insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.....

Sounds like you have a good one, there not made for fast work more of a slow death march over a spot you've seen big on. From what I've heard the Jackpot is more suited as a search bait. Hope this helps.

Tight lines,
David

Ya that helps David. Even when worked slow I noticed that the head dives slightly but that seems to cause the tail end to 'kick out' and push water. Thanks for the feedback. Always helps to know how a bait was intended to be used.

Mine likes to dive on me too. I get frustrated and quit throwing it cuz I have a hard time getting it to work right

The homewrecker was made to be a copy of the Weagle, yet it is far from it.

It is made of some sort of "fruit wood" from China and has very little consistancy.

Stick with the real deal, stick with the Weagle

It is a cheap weagle "wannabe". Like Hulbert said, stick with the weagle.

I bought one back when the weagles were hard to come by and hated it. Once I got my hands on a real weagle I could tell the difference on the first cast. I ended up selling the homewrecker on ebay and got like $8 from it,lol.
