I am having troubles fitting all my lures into my Lakewood medium before I head out on my two week adventure and I would really like to take all my baits, which is only about 60. I am wondering what tackle storage devices/units you folks store your larger spinnerbaits and bucktails in? I am aware that Lakewood makes a product, but it is extremely expensive and I want to see the other options. Also any help for storing topwaters with creeper wings and spreaders would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

I use http://www.shootnhunt.com/catalog/JM/tackle_boxes/plano/0030-0155.h... for my big B/Ds and other large baits that don't fit into my existing bag...

I had the same problem. I had the Lakewood medium and the monster but still couldnt fit my stuff, mostly because of my spinnerbaits. shimano makes a LARGE worm 3 ring binder with heavy duty zip lock bags. I bought an extra package of zip bags and now I have nearly 85 spinnerbaits in this setup. Thorne brothers carries it and its much lighter than buying a spinnerbait box.

Is the Jumbo size of this it and if so where do you find the extra bags?
Also what are the exact dimensions of the inner bags?

For large spinnerbaits, check out Cabela"s Advanced Angler Utility Binder #3700. Great storage for $29.95.

I have a Lakewood with the Plano boxes in it. I cut notches in the dividers to allow the spinnerbaits to fit.

it is the shimano monster binder. Thornes sells extra bags. Don't know offhand the size, but they aren't much smaller than the monsters dimensions. I can get 4 large 3 bladed 2 ounce grim reaper spinners in each bag. The baits are 9" long too!

Give pat at thorne bros a call. Tell him randy from NY told you to call....

For spinnerbaits get a custom "spinnerbait wallet" from an office supply store, i.e. a plastic file folder .
