| go to detroit lake chamber of comerce, there is a holiday inn and numerous motels/ hotels, there is a really nice resort on big pelican lake called fair hills, it has a great golf course and also big pelican has some monster muskies, the dnr test netted a 60 inch fish last year. she is still swimming in big pelican only 15 min to dl. |

| I checked with the DNR and they didn't even sample Pelican Lk last spring and the largest they've ever seen there is 54 1/2. Not sure where your getting your info on 60 inches but it's wrong! Just another internet rumor of 60. |

| Holiday inn and The Lodge on Big Detroit are your two lakeside options. Both are not cheap and the lodge is a suite only hotel both are very convienient.
I live 45 mins away from both lakes and I can't say that I have heard of a 60 incher netted but what I can tell you is those are 2 really good muskie lakes with some very good year classes and good numbers for mid to high 40 inch fish.
Good Luck
