Rad Dogs in brighter colors worked well when we went a couple years ago. Red, Yellow, etc. I suppose it depends on the time of year too. I think people troll Believers with good success later in the Fall. Good Luck.

Hey muskynate
I have been going to Mahkwa Lodge for about 6 years now. We have not heard of any Muskie caught at the lodge. Are there Muskie in that area of the lake? If not is there anything close that holds Muskie?

Thanks
Sackett

While I believe Nate will be able to help you more, I know a little about your question. Lac Seul does have muskies everywhere, but they're a bugger to find on the west end. Population appears to be substantially more thin as you get away from the
northeast, BUT there are people out there catching some fish in less popular spots. The area by Mahkwa isn't known to be hot. I have seen muskies in Sen Bay but not any further west. I'm not an official authority though, my personal experience is dating back a few years now.

We flew into pickerl narrows on the northeast corner of lac suel. I boated 5 fish biggest was 47.5" troling rock reefs with black and silver grandma. The most action for the whole group was on Hirsh's Gohsttails. Black nickle blades and orange hair.

Watch out for shallow rocks.
