| In the fall while fishing with my dad we had a 35 pound musky on that was 50" or better on a quick strick rig for 20 mins and lost it,My question is we fish this spot every time out almost and fished adjacent spots to it looking for her to show her self, we fished a whole summer and never saw her but raised and caught severial smaller fish on this spot,would that fish still frequent this spot or has it moved on to a better spot?Any ideas? |

| MAy have moved on to another area, or she may have been there under certain conditions at that time of the year. Lots of variables at work![:sun:] |

| I'm no expert, but I remember reading a study done with radio telemetry and some muskies that were caught moved away from that spot permanently. What was really interesting was that some of the muskies that were caught in shallow water (5') never ever came shallow again. I suppose it's possible that your big girl decided to find a new and safer area. |

| Read the Esox Angler issue containing the articles by Robb Kim, Steve Worrall, and others trying to recap the entire affair. I am sure a copy can be obtained at their website.
If one is interested in a legitimate study using radio telemetry, look to the Pewaukee Lake study still under way. Go to the Milwaukee Muskie's Inc Chapter website to see what has been done to date.[8)] |

| That study must be hogwash. A few years ago I caught the same fish (not a hog, but a nice 42"er) four times in a two week period within 30 yards of the same spot. |

| I had one like that on Pelican for several years. It was a skinny, three foot male that hit a white Spinnerbait near everytime it saw the thing. Saved a few quiet guide days for me![:bigsmile:] |
