Is there any boats out there that are some what new, 16 ft, Deep V, 50 horse motor that are under or around 8000? I am a broke college student looking for something in this price range.

Not a deep v but you could probably get like a 99 Lund 1610 Pro Angler with a 50 4 stroke for around that price.
Had one and loved it. Great on gas.

Good luck

i know you said 8000 but for new boats alumacraft is running a a pretty good deal on the classic 165's for 12000 http://alumacraft.com/package_classic.html

I also think a Starcraft star fire is around that brand new

If your keep you eyes open you could get a decent used sylvan, starcraft, alumacraft, or lund for 8000 in the size you are looking for

I would suggest the Alumacraft lunker 165. It is a little smaller than the classic but will do really well.

I owned one for about 5 years and really liked the boat, but with an expanding family of nieces and nephews who want to be on the water, I needed something a bit bigger.

I don't think you could find one brand new in your price range but you could get somewhat close if you stay with a 2 stroke engine. When I purchased mine back in 2000, I paid $8000 for a console model with a 1700lb trailer. The standard trailer is somewhere around 1200 to 1300 lb, which if you take a trip can be a bit on the light side.

Easy to maneuver, easy to load and unload, and you have rig that can be out on big waters too..

I got an Alumacraft Magnum 165 w/50 hp Merc for 8k last year, 1998 model. Couldn't have found a better boat for 8k, in like new condition. I'd take a look at Alumacraft in general as suggested - seems to be a good value on a good boat. Deals are out there and now is a good time to look.

That boat that Slamr posted would be a great buy for you. The Dude took great care of that boat. It's set up really nice as well. I'd take a good look at it. Great price and a great boat.
