What Lowrance unit do you have? Is the GPS Receiver powered separately? Do you have power to the Receiver? To the unit? Are the comm wires maybe touching?

Need some more info to help you narrow it down, Dan.

Lowrance 111. I just started start running the 111 off of a new battery. Didn't hook up the 111 myself so I couldn't answer the other questions.
Thanks

Replace the fuse. Even if it looks good. I just had the same thing happen. Pat

The LGC1000 GPS receiver must have it's own power. There is a separate set of power leads that go into the X-111 to power the GPS receiver. I suggest that you connect these to a switched power source.

I've had problems on my Lowrance H20 not acquiring my position lately. Does cloud cover screw things up that bad? Quite frustrating... any insights?

Cloud cover should have no effect on your GPS receiving a signal. Pat

Well, it must be random malfunction with coincidental cloud cover. As soon as the sky clears...position acquired. Maybe my settings are off, or I need to do a satilite search?
