Location: Aitkin, Blaine, Minnesota | I have several reels that I have tried to use to bulge or burn spinnerbaits. I have been successful with 6600 Abu with 6.3/1 ratio however have not had a reel make it through the rigors of a Muskie Season! I have had 4 of these reels crap out on me in two years. I have tried 400TE's and other big rigs to no avail. Withe the TE I feel like I will burn out using this tactic.
Any advise would be helpful.
Thanks |

| I use a few TE's and love 'em but the ONLY reel I've found that will effectively burn 'tails all season, year in year out is the ABU 7000 series.Bigger and heavier, but the 4.1:1 gear ratio combined with the single power handle make it a winch! The larger spool will also help pick up line faster.Fill 'er up with a good quality line and let 'em fly! Steve |

| Abu Garcia C3 7000 is the best reel for burning bucktails and a great all around reel as well. |

| No question Garcia 7000 is the way to go. These things are just about bombproof. |
