| Does anyone have a good service/repair shop recommendation in the central Wisconsin area that still works on the Evinrude G2 outboards.
The normal dealer that has worked on my motor in the past will not work on these anymore and need to find another shop!!

| Galles Marine, in Wis. Rapids still lists themselves as servicing Evinrude. They were one of the longest term Evinrude dealers in the state. |

| I contacted Galles and they will no longer work on Evinrude G2’s. I am not sure about the 1st gen etecs but I know for sure they will not work on the G2’s. |

Location: SE, WI. | Tyler; How you been? Try contacting Spellmanns in Oshkosh. They used to work on my Etecs. Of course, there was rarely a problem with Them, other than big hours on my power! Or try Kettle Marine in Jackson… JD

| That is really surprising about Galles. They were an Evinrude dealer forever.
I wonder if parts are a problem. I know last year when having work done on my Suzuki, the dealer said he dreaded getting Evinrude service requests because parts were such an issue. |

| I recall Evinrude being very direct in saying they would support the motors for I think 10 years. This was after they jammed all their dealers / customers by shutting production down. It will be interesting to find out if parts are the issue or dealers are just washing their hands of them.
To the OP maybe try LaCannes in Faribault Mn. they sold a zillion Aluma Crafts with Evinrude's on them. |

| Try Al's Specialty in Rochester Mn. I don't know how far away from your Wisconsin location though. They know their Evinrudes and have always treated me fair.
That being said, I have always been a BRP guy, have had alot of Ski-doo snowmobiles. Had a 2018 620 with a 250G2. Loved the motor when it ran right. It gave me problems the last four week long trips to LOTW. Did not leave me stranded, but a total pain in the rear. Traded it with them for a '23 with a Merc 250 PROXS. Surprising low end snap and power for a 4 stroker. Like it so far. |
