| I went with Progressive. They had the best coverage with complete replacemant cost,no depreciation. |

Location: Chicago, Beverly | I'd do a comparison of both progressive and state farm. I know a guy that has had several 150 evinrudes replaced while having state farm, supposedly they covered everything but the deductible. But looking at the brochure I got from progressive, they look better... I know down in Webster Progressive seems to be the most popular, and you know how many boats are around there... |

Location: oswego, il | Alan, I had state farm with my old boat too. Never had to make a claim with it though. I went with them becuase they insure my suburban. |

| I called Prgressive and the complete replacement feature was for boats 2 years old and newer. A lot of companies will give multi-policy discounts so if you have your homeowners, auto & boat with the same company you could save a little. Another insurance that is often overlooked is towing. I have AAA Motor Club RV coverage that will tow the rig up to 150 miles. Your boat policy may not help if the trailer fails due to mechanical breakdown. |

Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | i get my insurance through american family. i pay $236 a year for my lund 1775 pro-v with 75 hp honda on it. thats with $10000 in equipment and electronics coverage added on. i do get a discount for having 2 vehicles and 2 atv's insured through them as well as the boat. i switched to them from progressive a few years ago. i was paying $445 a year with progressive. rates on the rest of my stuff was higher with them too! |
