Posts: 425 Location: Elkhart, IN | With it be the middle of summer I was wondering what you find to be the most productive lures in the summer, crankbaits, topwater, spinnerbaits etc. Feel free to let me know which lures are most productive for you during the dog days. Thanks for all help, Mark

You can pick the deepest clearest part of the lake and you're still picking up weeds all over the place. I've seen people trolling out there I just don't see how they do it with all the floating weeds all over the place. Mark

Posts: 96 | I like a black topper stopper. It attracts fish when nothing else does. Throw it into deep wood if you can. Try casting along weed beds, drop off edges, and at inlets throw long casts towards the other side. I use hi speed reels which allow you to burn the bait. When using a intermittent retrieve I've had them hit when the bait is just sitting there! Make sure your hooks are sharp or you will miss some fish. Musky39
