For what it's worth, I am planning on getting one for a 7" graph. The big Ram will loosen up in rough water while the Balzout will not. At least that is what I have read in several places.

They are solid as solid is. Zero movement ever. They look great also.

I just broke down and ordered. Reading as much as I could, besides price, I've yet to find a bad comment on the Balzout. Can't wait to try em.

The best in mounts. I have my onix 10 on the bow and it never moves

Cisco mounts are awesome too! They do not move and are easily adjustable. I'm not sure if it fits you application but worth a look.

stabil mount is another good option... I have one on my hds 10 on the bow and it's rock solid...
