Muskie, that is. We rigged Slamr's boat this afternoon, then took a couple hours out on the water. I missed one, and lost another, caught a bass, and watched Sue smoke about 30 tiny Perch. All in all, a cool afternoon! Kieth got a nice walleye fishing muskies, too.

MuskieMedic was out there, and so was another couple muskie anglers in a Tuffy. Far as I know, they blanked. The fish were NOT going bonkers, that is for certain!

Good thing you broke in Slamr's boat and got it it's first slime, who knows how many weeks it might take Slamr.

WTG bluegill, you may need to change your name to muskie soon.

Steve,

Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you, we cruised up to the larger Patriot and I couldn't really tell who that was....I should have went closer. We had to get back to the landing, ScottO wanted to get back to his campsite while it was still light.

I had a great time fishing this weekend with Steve Kieth and Sue. Steve only has one week left of single life. Better get all his fishing in now. J/K Sue will make a great wife and Steve will be very lucky to have someone to keep him in line. Medic, you should have stopped and said hi at least. Kieth and I could not figure out why you guys came up to the boat. Now I know. As far as catching the ski, you guys need to say your walleye fishing!!!!!!!! I told Kieth that I was tired of throwing big baits so I picked up my walleye stick and on my second pitch along the shoreline with an 1/8oz. jig tipped with a leech, WAM! Just like the ski I caught trolling for walleyes. Anyways, it was fun, and the CRAPPIES BIT VERY WELL!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck Guys,

Mr.Bluegill

ToddM,

Not much chance of that, here is what we did the rest of the afternoon. :)

Mr. Bluegill took me out panfishing Sunday. We RIPPED them, and had a great time. I would highly recommend his guide service for any father/son or family trips you might contemplate, or for that matter, just for an great day on the water. QUALITY panfish, finesse techniques, walleye techniques, and more, and a great host in the boat.

I'm assuming that all those gills and crappies were caught for musky bait.

Actually, the crappies and gills we caught Saturday went into the pan for Keith, Sue, Mr. Bluegill, and me. The balance went into the freezer. Muskie fishing doesn't produce much freezer fare in the way of panfish, so I stocked up with 3 meals. Yummy!
