Posts: 1767 Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | Heading up that way this week and it's been a very long time. I'll be out with a buddy who has a cabin in the area and be responsible for putting us on fish. I was thinking about a Lost Land/Teal and Little Spider Chain combo for starters does anyone else have any other lake suggestions that can be good to soak some suckers this time of year? is there a quality river option in the area that might rival the Flambeau? any intel would be appreciated, thanks Edited by Musky Brian 10/12/2015 7:18 AM

Location: Sawyer County, WI | I think you made solid choices for lakes to fish. There are muskies in the Chippewa river but I have no experience fishing it so will defer to others who have. The Flambeau isn't far away, perhaps Flambeauski can offer up some expert advice on that body of water.

Posts: 4343 Location: Smith Creek | You've got the stretch below the Flowage that would rival the Flambeau. The stretch above (West Fork, Moose lake to the Flowage) can be good too, wouldn't rival the Flambeau IMO. Same story with the Namekagon, fun for smallies but not much for muskies. East Fork of the Chip above the flowage has lots of little fish, access is tough unless you run up from one the flowages like Barker or Blaisdell. Edited by Flambeauski 10/12/2015 11:28 AM

Posts: 397 Location: Wisconsin | I have heard namekagon is phenomenal for musky, Ben Michlig and his brother won the tourney there two years ago with 4 musky between 39.5-45.5

Posts: 36 Location: Stone Lk Wi | Last Friday evening the lake I was on was still at 60. I would guess they're still in the high 50's.
