The only lure I'd not get sick of fishing with would be a topwater.

I'd rather catch one topwater fish then 5 any other way.

Water Chopper would probably be my first choice.

I think I would have to go with the Crane 307 in black bars/white.

Top Water on AHL Baits, when you catch a 50" on the top you will never go back under the water. To see a pig do a back flip and nail your bait on the top, that is what I fish for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading through all three pages of posts you would think that one lure would be a standout a little more than the rest, but none seem to. Well, I guess it seems a lot of people have picked Bull Dawgs which suprises me a little. Wouldn't they be all tore up after a few fish?

Am really suprised more people ain't saying some kind of bucktail.

This is a tough question, for versatillity I'd have to say a jointed 8" believer in firetiger, but I don't think a lure like that could keep my interest all year long so I'll go with a lure I like to fish,Super Top-Raider blck/orange tail.

Burmek-B1, Awesome bait!!! ;)
yes but nothing can beat my bigM

Na I still like the Burmek, it will toast your lindy! BigM. Which you use the suspended version or shallow! What color would you pick, my colors don't catch a thing! Not even a hammerhandle!

I'll have to pick up some in the bargain bin at the local bait shop, not sure if they have pink and gold though, maybe purple and silver.

One lure?? Impossible! ERRONEOUS!!!!

Shallow Invader. Troll it, straight crank it, twitch it, rip it, flop it around some slop. Close second would be a Hoodini (zig zag topwater), but for whatever reason I can't seem to find too many fish in Illinois to chase down topwater on a "consistent" basis.

9" red and white Suick. The bigger Suicks seem lethargic compared to the quick darting action of the 9". No weights please, I like to jerk 'em over weed beds.

Try a weighted suick in the weeds. Look for pockets!
