Posts: 518 Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | Bob It might have been, had he kept it. It would have to be weighed on a certified scale to be a new state record. This fish is a fish of a life time. Take Care Marv.

Sick...nice work Jason!! Muskyhunter47...the boat spun away from the setting sun...just a difference in the liting. Nobody is better at handling big fish. The pics make it obvious they were all snapped within seconds of each other.

Posts: 99 | Amazing...let me ask though. Did she come up in a wake and hammer it, come out of no where and slam it or was it more of a suddle nip? Just trying to imagine. Good work...now go get a bigger one.

Posts: 1106 Location: Muskegon Michigan | Awesome fish Jason. Had to be a blast on that short rod. Should be a free replica at years end from Muskies inc. It will be very hard for anyone to top it. And on a top water WOW, JUST WOW. Have a great season, Mike and Michelle

Posts: 27 | I wonder who this Ryan Simonson master netter is? I'm sure he was maxed out and pumped up beyond words after netting that fish. He prob got piled drunk after seeing that. I know I would.

Posts: 618 Location: Bloomington, MN | Congratulations Mr. Hammernick! I'm even sure Mr. Art Lyons is cheering you on from heaven. In your post you mentioned using a 5' rod. That probably has made a bit of a sales impact on 8-10' rods. I'm 5' 7" and suffer from vertigo, so the top deck is off limits unless I want to go for a swim. I've been using 6'-6' 9" rods for WTD type baits, so why a 5 footer??? You are like E. F. Hutton of the muskie world, so throw us a bone! Maybe some of my tackle will become "trendy" again.
