Subject: NEW PROGRAM!!!

After this weekend, I will be conducting a new program titled the "Rattle Trap Amnesty Program", which will allow peeps who have these baits in their boats, boxes or homes a chance to turn them in to specified locations. Once this has been done, these baits will be mailed to me, where they will be destroyed once and for all, saving the sanity of hundreds, and allowing peeps to fish more "exciting" baits. Once all the Traps have been collected, they will be sent overseas, where they will be distributed among the troops for their final assault on Baghdad! You have 7 days to rid yourself of these pesky little fish catching pieces of plastic, then teams will be sent to your homes to search for them...don't be one of the few to be found w/ one!!!

Lol Dave...actually the 2 I lost came on Traps, and if you asked the majority, you will find the same response! Triple dog dare you to cast one of those for 4 days straight; they work, but the constant whirring of the reel handle and the rattling buzzing sound drove even me nuts! Fish or no fish, we had FUN...:O

I'll 2nd that commotion !

That daggone lake was rattled up so much it quieted every baby within a 300 mile radius.

It has always been about the "hunt" for me, the "fish" is just the bonus.

I'd trade my fish any day of the week for the friends I made there.

Sponge,
Bad news. I know the owner of Bill Lewis Lues, makes of the Rattle Trap.
These guys ae like the chip company!!! You keep breakin' em, they will keep makin' em. You are only making him rich.
Try slightly large hooks next time or look for some of their "pro model" that have a sliding hook harness. Not sure if they still make the Pro model but either may make the Spong vs Cave match easier for you.

Sponge, i am just givin you grief. I know the traps work well. the 1 1/2oz actually have worked better for me in the spring. And that is in the Chicago area. Once the water temps hit around 50 or something is when they realy begin to work. i wish i was down there, but the dang wife is about to pop out 2 baby boys within a month so i am stuck.

No way I'm actually geting rid of them...I catch WAY TOO many fish on them!(rockfish) I do change the back hook, and it makes a difference. I'd like to know just how many casts were made during the 4 day period; had to be thousands! My wrist is still spinning...:O

Thousands of casts!?....Not enough! You are just starting to get into the action when you find yourself doing figure-8's subconsciously while you are relieving yourself at the side of the boat!
