| Electrical tape and some no roll sinkers works in a pinch. Any heavy flat piece of metal taped to the but helps. I put tennis racket grips over the rubber rod balancers that you can buy. That is the cats meow. |

I have molds that I pour lead in to fit the rod blank. need to pull the cap off the butt end. Then put masking tape over lead tightly to fit in blank, and epoxy it in. Normally, I use a bass pro balancer, to finish the job. The rod with reel should balance on your finger you straddle trigger with. Big time savings on your straining tendons. Works great. I think I have about 9 oz's in my big nasty JD |

| Youre going to spend about as much buying stuff from home depot as you would just buying a rod balancing kit flat out. Theyre nice and easy id just go that route. Ive seen them on super clearance at gander mtn from time to time as well, like $5 on sale. |
