| Should I cut the top hook off my dawgs? I have seen some ppl cut the top hook off and said it resulted in better hooks sets what are your guys thoughts? |

| Hoosier it's not the amount of hooks, it's the placement. The top hook get chomped down on and prevents from driving the hooks home at times. I have seen it first hand. After the fish struck I pounded the hooks home and once the fish was boatside, it opened it's mouth and out popped the bulldawg (the fish was merely biting down on the bait top to bottom, no trebles hooked up. Unreal how a fish can get the entire rubber in it's mouth and not get a treble. |
