Posts: 160 | Hey guys on my boat allison xb2003 you can only mount the trolling motor straight inline with the boat and not on an angle. Was looking to mount a power drive but looking for a quick release or mounting bracket that will it allow to clear the front when deployed. It has to clear the angle in the front to so figured it has to stick out more then normal. Thabks

Location: Eastern Ontario | If you mount straight on will you not loose interior space when not deployed. I don't know your boat but I mounted one straight a few years back so I could tie to either side of the dock at the cottage and it was in the way when not deployed.

Posts: 3480 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya, Found this on the web as a picture of how one guy mounted his TM so it wasn't directly in the middle, and didn't seem to look like it cluttered the deck when not deployed... Is your front end the same style as this? Also wondering if there would be a way to build with some sort of polymer below a quick detach plate that would allow you to run longer bolts through if you were to set the mounting plate at an angle... I think putting it at an angle is doable, just don't know exactly what you could use below the detach plate that is either moldable, sandable, etc. to match the countour of the front end. Posts: 160 | That is the same boat haha. YeH it had a regular cable steer motor on it. But the terrova and power drive have to hang over more then those. That's why I was trying to figure out a mounting bracket that can slide out more with a quick release.

Posts: 3480 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Huh....it is... from the picture I found it looked like you could walk up on either side of the console... I stand corrected.
