I was just wondering if the TI was much Heavier action or not for like pounders and the like?

TI is a Moderate Fast action vs. the Okuma's Fast action.

So your saying that the only difference between the two blanks is one has a fast action and the other does not.

Which blank and rod is heavier, not action but weight wise? Are the handles the same on both of these?

handle lengths are also different so the TI fishes shorter.

TI is much lighter and the handle is longer for more casting leverage. I havent picked my Okuma up since my TI showed up at my door.

I am looking at buying a 9' XXXHvy/Fast Tooth Tamer rod rated 8-48 oz for throwing 2 pounders. I have one question though...the handle length on that rod says 17"...is that 17" from the end to the reel seat or 17" from the end to the front of the foregrip?...

Those measurements are generally always given from the butt end of the reel seat.
