| While on a daily browse on the "Island of Misfit Posts", I keep being drawn to the post "I Have Noticed"; the more I read it, the more I feel it should be placed back on the main message board. Had it been left there from day one, it would most likely have run its course and would now be resting in peace w/in the cavernous confines of past archives...instead, it has become a daily reminder of the simplicity of a question, and the fear of not knowing exactly what to do w/ things we don't fully understand; rendering to it a slow, agonizing death...HOW CAN THIS BE!??? W/ the lack of provocative thought in this nation today, we can ill afford to let even one simple honest question slip past us! I say we brush off the cyber dust, and put this post in it's rightful place, THE MAIN MESSAGE BOARD! If anyone agrees, please register on this post, knowing you have spared an honest post...if not, no probs...no hard feelings; BUT--you must live w/ this decision for the rest of your natural born life! The jury is now out...the plea bargaining has begun...voice your opinions...let your ideas be known....make a difference...let freedom ring....[::)] |

| 21 views, yet not ONE DAGGONE VOTE!!! To be perfectly honest, I'm somewhat surprised at the apathy displayed this morning...what will you do when it's time to decide on something less important!??? Now who will be the first to shed their fear of being first...who will stand up for that which is right...who will help overcome... 2 days after MLK Day and already peeps have forgotten the struggle! Who will take a stand?[:(]

| Ok! OK! I agree with the Spongemeister!! That post would (and did)quickly get picked up on as a parody post. And as long as the responses were tame and not flaming, it could have been kept in the main board. That being said (the political move here), an obvious post rooted in an attempt to get someone to bite (eh hem...Jason) is THE reason the removal board was created....so what i am saying is....i am Switzerland also. Man that fence post hurts!!!! |

Even though the road looks mighty rockey. But yet, instant gratification always leads to long term pain.We may have to circle the wagons(you get better reception that way), there is a sliver of hope.
Now this business of giving life to animals, making them talk and behave like human beings, is an extremely difficult one. "Mr.Ed" absolutely conquered the difficulties, but I am not sure that anyone after him until "Charlie the Tuna" has really managed the trick; even in such a masterpiece as "I Have Noticed" we are not quite convinced. The general discussion posts are convincing because Muskie First never forces them to desert their own characteristics. Sponge, for instance, is natural from first to last. He really does care about the Anonymous Posters but he cares as a bird would care, having always some place to which he is going when his business with his friends is over. And when Sponge invents fantastic animals he gives them a kind of credible possibility which is extraordinarily convincing. It will be impossible for anyone who has read his posts to not believe in the Doctor Do-More animal Pushmi-Pullyu. Remember that two headed Laama who couldn't decide between right and wrong, good and bad, forward or backwards, firetiger or jailbird, and Pay-Days or Cokes ????
In fact that post is a work of genius and, as always with works of genius, it is difficult to analyze the elements that have gone to make it. There is poetry there and fantasy and humor, a little pathos but, above all, a number of creations in whose existence everybody must believe whether they be children of four or old men of ninety or professional fishermen of forty-five. | At last...the closet door is thrust open, daylight enters!!!! The MOVEMENT IS ON! \Some of our best poetry ,deep questions etc. have come from ANNONS in the past...and at present, we have a post "downstairs" that is at this very moment wasting away...but that is soon to change! Even the scrutinizing Cadester has deemed this work of art as harmless, yet fear of this simple wording has paralyzed some of MFs finest; my gratitude goes out to those few who have chosen the right path at the chance of osterization from fellow peers! Hail Atlantis! "Down...below the ocean, where...I want to be...she made me!"...Raze will understand that little outburst of song![;)] change that to Dr. DO-MORE if you please...ain't MLK WEEK great? |
