Posts: 1460 Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Gonna try this method for taking solo pix this year...downloaded a timer app and ordered this clamp on holder....hope it works out.. https://www.google.com/search?q=lazy+bed+iphone&safe=off&client=safa... Oh yeah....with the camera function "flipped" you can see on the screen how the image will look before the timer goes off....can set time and number of pix....should be cool.

Posts: 2026 | Do you have a flash on both sides of the phone? I bought a suction kit on ebay for taking pics. It can also fit my digital camera.

Posts: 1460 Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Hmmm...no, sir...no flash on that side. Guess ill have to keep the old camera in the boat for night fishing or rig up my spot light somehow.

Posts: 99 Location: West Virginia | Just set the camera to movie instead of picture and record he whole time. Release the fish and watch the video and take a still picture from the movie clip. Works great and you can have multiple pictures if you wanted. No timer needed.

Posts: 2026 | With the clamp you bought you can still use it. Just line up your shot after you unhook the fish, set your timer and clear the area, grab the fish and pose real quick. You won't want to be touching the phone with slime all over your hands, or holding a fish with 1 hand anyway. Use your trolling motor or motor to center the shot.

There is an app called CameraSharp that is sound acctivated. Instead of trying to beat the timer, I just set it up and whislte and it takes the photo. Granted, there will be a few pictures taken from just the noise of you moving around and getting ready for the shot, but you can easily delete those.

Yes, the quality is not as good but being able to select the frame more than makes up for it to me. I've got some great footage and nice action stills fishing alone.
