I found a good deal on an Armanda and was wondering if anyone uses one for their tow vehicle? Looking for pro's and cons, mileage, etc.

Thanks,
Kirk

just looked the 2013 Amada has a 9000 # towing so that should pull just abought any fishing boat unless you have a great lakes boat

I'm on my second. I was set to buy a Denali a few years ago and found these right before I was going to buy. They're not as finished as the GM, but they drive, pull, tow (difference there), and use the interior space way better then the GMC in my opinion (3rd row seats that fold into the truck for one). I liked my first one so much that after we were totaled out by some chick texting I bought another one. I could have bought ANY vehicle out there and I bought another one.

The big downside is gas milage. I'm averaging around 13.5 all around. Once you get over 70mph it REALLY goes down. When I'm towing my bass boat I get around 12 and 9 with the cruiser. They needed another gear for the highway in this truck for sure.

nearly 18mpg with my F150 overall. Towing my 1890 Tuffy, I got 14+ to NW Angle and back.

Much better at 65 than 75, especially towing. But that's going to be the case for every gas powered vehicle. Diesels don't seem to vary that much.

i looked at them before buying my Toyota Sequioa. I found that they are not rated all that high with their customers. Seems like they have some problems. Also, the worst gas mileage out of the group. They have power thou, they also sound great. but after reading some customer reviews i moved on.

The big problem with them is the pre 2006's were tearing up rear ends. Since that time they've solved that problem. I've had one up to 80k and then totaled and my current one has 104k and neither has had any problems. If you get the model above the base they ride and drive way better then the Toyota IMOP (was looking at them too). I believe it also has a longer wheel base then the Toyota and Tahoe.

I have one. It's a tank. Drags my Tuffy 1760 like it's not there. 27K miles, no problems. But yes, it drinks gas like it's a thirsty Japanese Bear.
