So...it's not in the cards for me to have a lake place. What I'd like to find, then, is a little getaway I can get to, to do some musky fishing on the weekends. I'm looking for a campground in Wisconsin that offers permanent campsites with access to decent musky water. My plan is to buy an older camper I can fix up and leave at the site (along with my boat) so I can run up on the weekend to do a little fishing. I know there are a few such places in the Hayward area, but I'm hoping to find something on the northeast side of the state. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Do an internet search "wisconsin musky seasonal campsites". Here's one that I know of though: http://www.arborvitaecampground.com/

Camp Holiday close to Boulder Junction has permanent campsites, and close to lots of good bodies of water.

Nice clean place too...

I think that Buckatabon Lodge on Lower Buckatabon Lake has campsights that you are looking for. Lower Buckatabon is attached to Upper and make up about 980 acres of Class A musky fishing.

Those lakes are located in Conover and are in close proximity to other great lakes like the Cisco Chain, North Twin, LVD, Eagle River Chain, Star Lake, etc.
