| Thanks for buying the bait. I take the top split ring off, slide a good size hook over the line tie and then put the split ring back on. For the hook, either cut the welded prong off so it lays straight or flat (be careful it doesn't pop you in the eye when you cut it off)..or you can leave the extra prong on and start a little further back and insert the welded prong into the back of the bait, then loop it over the line tie, then replace the split ring. | Do you ever get problem with them hanging up on the line? I got a original and a Magnum on the way, and can't wait to try them out :D |

| No. I make my own leaders out of 200 lb downrigger line. If it gets real kinked down near the line tie it might hook under there, but not usually. I just change the leader at that point because they cost pennies. Thanks again guys. Jon |

| Nice thanks for the picture.
In a other thread someone also mentioned that he replaced the front hook with a bigger one, and used the front as the new top hook. Thoughts on this? |
