Yup...that's the stick you'll want. Tons of info here on TI rods and what weight to use for what baits. XH will throw mags perfectly and many guys like it even for the pounders.

I have a 9' TI XH and it tosses mags no problem. But pounders are a little less forgiving, The Shallow megaD from tackle industries is OK, but MI pounders are a little bit of a stretch, the XH loads to much for my liking. If your looking at tossing Pounders, the XXH is better for that. XH is better for blades, and everything else.

The XH is perfect for 8-10 oz baits (handles lighter stuff well too). Much more than 10 or 11 and the XXH will treat you well.

so kind of the converse of the question - how does the XXH work for lighter rubber like standard or mag dawg/superd? are they too light to load the rod during a cast or are they fine?

I can honestly say I haven't tried TI's XH but I use the split grip 9' TI XXH telescopic for Mag and Pounder sized dawgs etc.
