Out of curiousity how many guides have had to hang up the musky stick until it cools down? Have you been forced to target other species or bigger lakes? How are you coping with the high water temp woes? Please list the gnerel area you guide in if you can.
Thanks

Haha... pandoras box... Here in Northern WI its not bad. Just have to stay away from smaller, shallow and/or stained lakes. and you will still have temps in the 77 to 79 degree range even late in the day.

I guide in Illinois ... I shut it down about 6 weeks ago. Been smallmouth bass fishing in a small local river ever since.

**I am not a guide**
79.8 is ok. No harm to fish at all.
Water's warm as pee even up north. The air temp got down to about 75 last night after hitting 90 during the day. Been that way since Saturday. Lower that ducer all you can till the temp's where you want it. Turtles have to eat too.

LARGEMOUTH BASS UPPER AVOIDANCE 85 DG--SMALLMOUTH BASS UPPER AVOIDANCE 73 DG NORTHERN UPPER AVOIDANCE 74 DG -- out of all the freshwater gamefish on the list there are only eight fish with a 80dg upper limit. SHAD, BUFFALO, CARP,CATFISH, GAR, SPOTTED BASS, AND THE LARGEMOUTH BASS AT 85 DG. All the rest are well below the 80DG TEMP. BUT THEN WHAT DO A BUNCH OF ICHTHYOLOGIST KNOW.
