Posts: 313 Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | The Bemidji/Cass Lake Chapter 46 Muskies Inc tournament will be held on Saturday June 16th. This is a fully CPR tournament (catch/photo/release). We'll have thousands of dollars in prizes to give away via raffle at the tournament awards/feed at the end of the tournament. If you've never been to one of our tournaments they are a great time, family friendly and fishing is allowed on 4 of the best muskie lakes in all of MN. Lakes Bemidji, Plantagenet, Cass and Big are all tournament waters. Fishing begins at 5am and goes until 4pm with the feed/awards beginning at 5pm. Entry fees are only $45 for adults and $25 for juniors (under 18). There are cash prizes for 1st-4th place and also for the biggest fish for both adults and juniors. We proudly donate a scholarship to the Aquatic Biology program at Bemidji State University each year with tournament proceeds. The feed is put on by the area Boy Scout chapter. Registration is still open. You can register by mail or at the following locations locally. Bluewater Bait or Gander Mountain (both in Bemidji) Thursday June 14th and Friday June 15th from 5-8pm at either location. These are the only times/locations for local registration. Posts: 480 | Hi Brian, Is there a separate pike division in this tourny? Lots of big pike add to the fun and keeps the attention for the kids too.

Posts: 313 Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | We used to have a pike division. It was dropped a few years back. I believe last year the tournament was still won by a youth contestant though, and it was a young girl if memory serves me right.

Posts: 313 Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Now that right there is the kind of fun we have at our tournament! Her name wasn't Duff, and she doesn't make the worlds most expensive pike baits named Ms America either. All joking aside, great tournament, come for the feed/awards and HUGE raffle to be held at the end. We're going to have amazing amounts of stuff to give away, PREMIUM stuff and you don't even have to be a tournament entrant for any of that after fishing stuff.

Posts: 313 Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | A super huge thanks is in order to all the businesses and individuals who donated to todays event, it was a groundbreaker for us and we were able to raise an unprecedented amount for our chapter. We appreciate all that everyone did for our chapter, it really made a difference for us. 68 contestants caught 8 muskies today over 40inches. 3 were 50in or better. All were caught between 5:30am and 11:30am with 4 of them between 5:30am and 6:04am. Any any bite action disappeared around 1pm or so, all the lakes were hit with a thunder/lighting storm and pretty heavy rainfall. Many called it quits, some got back at it after it cleared but no more fish were boated. Brian Johnson - 51in. 1st place and Big Fish of the Day Lucas Higginbotham - 50.5in. 2nd place John Blechinger - 50in. 3rd place Steven Smith - 45in. 4th place Hannah Willford - 45in. Junior Division winner
