Subject: landings on the Fox chain?

Im from the madison area and am hoping to check out the Fox Chain 'o Lakes this year in northern Illinois. I bought a map and it only shows landings on the river and none on any of the lakes? I was told there was some landings not on the maps that you can pay to launch. Can anyone suggest a nicer landing closer for me to launch at? Thanks

Chain o lakes state park is the only public launch. The rest like the ones listed above are private and be prepared to shell out 15 bucks.

I have a tuffy 1760. is there any landings i should stay away from for depth reasons, or are they fine for any sized boat?

Ironman used Barnacle Bob's on Marie last year. It was easy to get to from Madcity.

I run a 1760, too. I launch out of the Thirsty Turtle as the launch is easy, unlike others you wont have to spend an hour stripping off the weeds you will pick up, and there's plenty of parking. Lunch isnt bad in the bar but be prepared they will have to put a pot of coffee on even if you show up at 11AM. Makes no sense.
