As some of you know I'm in the marine corps reserves. And this year for our annual trainning our unit decided to go to bridgeport california. Which is quite a distance away from home in central PA. The views out here are pretty awesome. As a truck company all we really do is drive but one of the days we got to do a river crossing in around 39 degree water which was actually a lot of fun cold but fun. So as a whole so far I've been enjoying my time here. Not really anytime to fish but I've seen a lot of civilians fishing. Because where we are at is a national forrest that the marines rent for trainning so its open to really anyone which is kinda cool. If you get a chance someday id say definitely try to get here.

Congratulations on your service in the Marine Corps. So....Pickle Meadows...right? I was a grunt when last there. Served as a 0369 from '64-'73. Many of my best friends to this day are from my time in the Corps. Wish I was young enough and fit enough to be there right now. But I guess I'll have to put up with spending my summers fishing LOTW instead. LOL Semper Fi to you and if you are ever up Nestor Falls and LOTW way, drop me a line and we'll go fish some muskies.

Yep pickle meadows. I'm sure this place has changed a lot since you were last here. Its got wifi and barracks with electricity. But yeah even in my short amount of time its clear the bonds you make with other marines is something I can't really compare to anything else. And if I'm ever out that way ill be sure to drop you a line.
