Posts: 422 | Hi, I have an early to mid 90s model abu 6000 I have a couple questions about. It says high speed retreive on it, but I can't seem to find the gear ratio printed on it anywhere. Do any of you know where to look on it or have an idea what the ratio would be for the reel? And, this reel does not have instant anit-reverse so is it possibel to add that to a reel that doesn't have it? Thanks,

Actually, there is an IAR bearing available that fits the old non IAR sidplates.

Here ya go. $11.74 each. http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/product_info.php?cPath=47_48_135&products_id=71456
I've dealt with them plenty of times with zero issues.
Anyone afraid to do this themselves, I can do if for them, and it's not that expensive.
