I know a custom cover is ideal, but 95% of the time my boat is stored indoors and this seems like a much more economical option. I'm looking for something to cover it on trips where I don't have the option of indoor storage. Trailerability is not a big issue. Only issue is finding one wide enough for my Navigator.

| I'd be wary of Cabela's boat covers. Bought one recently brand new from the store in original packaging. The cover seemed like a great deal, a trailerable model for only $80. When I got it home, noticed a piece for the included support pole was missing, no big deal. Proceeded to put the cover on my boat, and keep in mind I opened the previoulsy un-opened package, and there wer already holes in the cover. On the bright side, Cabela's took the cover back without any fuss. |

Location: Ames, Iowa | I have one for my boat and I don't trailer it- don't think it's really made for that. I'm very happy with this cover. It works great for covering boat for a week or two in MN outside while I'm back in Iowa. Plan to use it this winter in the shed at the farm with a roll of poly over the top to keep the dust off. |

Location: Mayville, WI | Update: Got the cover just in time for the storm last week. The boat sat outside, covered through the worst of it last week up by Park Falls and did phenomenal! Inside was bone dry and the cover fit great for a non-custom cover, it is well worth the price.

I've got a Navigator 165 tiller & went with the 17'6" cover w/ 96" max beam & 96" max width in the link I provided in my first post. The extra length (boat is 16'8") was to accommodate the bow mount. Overall fit for the Navigator was great!

Location: Mayville, WI | EDIT: You'll need to get supports for the cover in back of the boat. I used a 5gal bucket for the front, but didn't have anything for the back. Didn't affect the cover performance, just had to bail out a pool of water on it once & a while. Also, my boat has rails w/ rod holder mounts & the cover fit just fine over them.
