Posts: 642 Location: Richfield, MN | DO. If you were heading to Leech Lake for 4 days of fishing what lures and color combos would you make sure you had with you. As alot of you know I am the rookie asking a crap load of questions and this is another of many many more to come I am sure. Also if anyone has been up there recently and has any good tips they want to pass on please do!!!! I did get some great tips ewarlier that I will be utulizing for sure. BUt I am kinda curious what is attracting the muskies currently. Are they still shallow over cabbage or in the weeds. Is anyoe catching them deep anything to help this rookie set a state record on his first musky outting would be greatfully appreciated! Also what are the water temp running now. Thanks Mike I am going up with the wife. THis will be the first time the 2 of us will be on a trip without kids in 14 years!!! BUt now the wife realized that this really isn't the romantic trip she was really wanting to take. I am like WHAT do you mean not romantic. How more romantic can you get. Just the 2 of us out on a huge lake with very few boats around. We virtually can do what ever we want to in the middle of the lake and no one will see us. Then when the fish hits one of our lines we set the hook and reel in a beautifull fish!!!! TO me that is true romance!!!! Edited by Muddy41 9/22/2010 10:35 PM

Hopefully the musky gods will be looking out for me next week and allow me to connect with a crap load of ski's. Along with musky fishing I will be taking some time out for some walleye and bass fishing as well. With this being the 1st time I will be fishing on this lake I am wanting to try my luck at a variety of fish. Unless of coarse the musky gods are REALLY good to me and I am catching musky after musky (OK I know I am dreaming) then I might not have time for anything else!!!

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Only 10 Pros out there yesterday, and they caught two, a 45 and another that was somewhere in that size range. They fished in real live 5' seas and caught a TON of nice 'eyes, just not many out of the slot.
