Posts: 1106 Location: Muskegon Michigan | After several years of testing and designing we have finally finished the first of the new TITANS for sale. I was looking to build a deep diver that would withstand many years of pounding rocks on the Canadian Shield mainly Georgian Bay. Many of you know and or have heard the stories about lures splitting, lips breaking, but yet Anglers still run their lures into the structure bouncing them over the rocks triggering violent strikes from huge Muskies. This method of rock bashing has destroyed thousands of lures including Plows, Hookers, Franky baits , My own Deepthreats and many many other big deep divers. Plastic, lexan and plexiglass have all failed on the rocks. Many have used Aluminum lips which hold up until they peen over and chip away. Others have used Stainless steel but these steel lips had to be much thinner and this made them prone to bending. I found Titanium to be the metal that would bridge that gap and set out to build a deep diver that would run one. The metal is 4000 series space shuttle grade titanium plate. Cut with a water jet C.A.D. and I smoothed the edges down with a diamond cloth so they are not sharp. We reinforced the entire nose section of the body with cross grain Cherry wood making the body impossible to split . This wood is plied into the front third of the body and glued in place with 2000 pound epoxy. After that I pinned the lip in place with 1/8th stainless dowel pins that are pressed through the lip into the lower half of the lure. The lip can not move at all. This keeps it from breaking loose from the epoxy that glues it in and 8 layers of overlapping Envirotex that are torch applied. In short the lip will not bend , distort or break under any amount of bashing rocks. The body will not split or break from any amount of rock bashing. In our opinion this lure will stand beside any other built to take this kind of abuse. The man we chose to test this bait is none other than Johnny Dadson . Johnny is a big bait guy and Georgian bay Guide. His words when I asked him if I should build it were( Build man Build!!!) He also said Impressive. Ill take his word for ity. I cant break one here pounding it into the concrete so I am sure his rock banging will not break it either. But here it is. The first of 9 more to be built. Price tag : $175.00 Features, .078 stainless steel wire through construction. Western red cedar body with Cherry wood reinforced nose . Titanium Lip. Wolverine triple split rings and Mustad 3551 7/0 hooks. This is a 12 inch lure and will run from 3 to 6 mph and dive to 30 feet with the right tackle. I will repair, replace or rebuild any of these that fail for 3 years from the purchase. No other lure builder has that guarantee. This one is painted in White Belly perch with an Orange slash behind the gills. Ill keep it up here for one week then if not sold will move it . Thanks for looking. Posts: 1083 | The Earth may explode or implode some day...but rest assured...Kingfishers TITANS will survive and become rapidly accelerating space rocks to enter into the next world's solar system, crashing through it's atmosphere and creating a crater the size of what was known as the U.S. of A and tilting the axis of that new found planet. I do think it's built that tough. Awesome baits!!!!! Edited by MACK 3/10/2010 9:57 PM

Posts: 1106 Location: Muskegon Michigan | Thanks guys , I am hoping this new lineup will help some of the guys on the shield who are tired of baits breaking. Its not the cheapest lure built for durability and certainly not the most expensive. I think we come in right between the Parrywinkle and the Wishmaster as far as cost goes. I feel it will stand with any lure ever built in strength and quality. It would be cool to get some underwater video of it crashing boulders. Again , thanks for the kind words. Mike
