Location: New Hope MN | I want to try a new lake for my annual Canadian trip. I'm stuck between these two lakes. Which is better? Thanks for your time!!!
Also If any of you has stayed at one of the camps, could you please let me know your thoughts on them? If anyone wants to share some hotspots feel free to PM me. Free bucktail if I catch one on your spot

| Being that close to Vermilion Bay, your best bet is to go to Eagle Lake, specifically, Andy Meyer's Lodge. Do a search on Eagle and/or Andy Meyers and you'll see the reason I suggest this.
Without a doubt one of the best trophy lakes around, bar none - a big lake with huge fish, and decent numbers now too - not only have there been year classes of muskies, but also walleyer, pike, smallmouth, etc...
Plus, the knowledge that Herbie and his staff have and share... PRICELESS!!!

| I only voted for Cedar because I've been there. Good all around fishing. If you're like me you probably don't care about garbage fish (bass) but it's one HECK of a smallie lake. We boated 3 over 7 and a couple 6 lber's last time I was there. Jigs/grubs on the rock piles. |

| Perrault has some muskies, but Cedar is better known for muskies. However, I feel there may be a really big muskie in Perrault.
Cedar Point Resort is located in the "times square" area, which is noted for muskies.
I've heard good things about all the resorts you are considering.
I've just made reservations for 2 weeks beginning the September 12th at Clark's Northern Lights Resort, which is down at the southern end on west Cedar.

Most of the camp owners/managers should be able to point to the most popular muskies spots. If you have reference to a map, I can tell you where some popular spots are. send me a pm with your email address.

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I personally don't feel Cedar is worth the extra drive up the Red Lake Rd. Yes, it is a 54" trophy managed lake. Is it better then Eagle? I don't think so. There's a few other lakes up that way that are worth the extra effort though... |
