I ordered an OKUMA EVX861 xh t and got it today only to find two pieces in the tube ( clean break ) now I have to wait another ten days for a new one . Excitment was short lived !

It was broken in shipping the tube has a big dent in it.

I know the feeling! My brand new custom Thorne Bros. arrived as a 2 peice too! UPS dropped it off one day and picked it back up the next! It hurts doesn't it?EDIT:my tube was all busted up as well!

Don't you wonder how they manage to do that in shipping? Rod tubes seem like they would be pretty tough to damage to the point of breaking the rod inside. You'll like the rod once you get a replacement.

That sucks! I guess I have been fortunate. I always seem to have rods being delivered, and never had one come busted.... Knock on wood! I probably just friggin' jinxed myself!

I have had a ton delivered over the years, and it SUCKS when you open up the tube to find the contents destroyed. Like you said....the excitement of the new toy wears off rather quickly when it's in a few more pieces than intended.

Totally agree...ordered 4 G Loomis rods once...they came as 8 pieces!
