I am new to the Pounder craze. Always fish 80lb TUFF LINE, is it a good idea to go with 100lb for Pounders?

Thanks.

IMO yes. Your throwing a bait that cost $30 and has some weight to it. Lots of abuse on that line so go heavy if you can. I just put new 100lb Cortland on my new Red Isis yesterday. Looks good but I will have to give the line the full test in about a month.

130 lb spectron is what I would use.

I use both 80lb and 100lb Tuf-Line and throw the Pounders every day...you should be fine with either.

You'll need to go with a minimum of 299# test braid with a 600# floro leader.

For Pounders I have been using 100 LB Spiderwire Stealth. It has performed awesome!
