Here's an interesting way to fish. You might find it entertaining.

Sort of like this??? Yes, it's wicked fun. Would be even cooler on SCUBA gear.

Fighting over you head, lol. That might be hard to get a decent hook set. Gotta be hard to grab the fish too. Would love to try that!

As fifty stated, it's fun. But the surface is not accessable to us without at least two minutes ascent time, so we have to unhook the fish underwater. It's very difficult and you have to play the fish to exhaustion, so we don't fish underwater very often. The hookset problem Sackett mentioned was easily overcome by going to circle hooks. the fish hook themself, usually in the corner of the mouth. We have had very good experiences with this type, and other similar hook designs while bass and laker fishing. It would be my opinion that these hooks are the way to go when you use live bait, and intend to release most of what you catch.

I viewed the video and knew Sean would have something to contribute.

I was once snorkeling at Peninsula state park in Door Co. and was playing cat/mouse with a nice smallie using a beer can I recovered from the lake bottom. I removed the tab from the can and was waving the tab only to have the bass come and try to knock it from my hand by ramming my hand. Ornery lil critters for sure. Never thought of the whole rod reel method though.
