Posts: 138 Location: Utah | I know what the heck does Lake Powell in Utah have to do with Muskie fish'n...well absoultely nothing...but we just wanted to share some Utah scenery with others who enjoy just being outdoors appreciating the great outdoors no matter where it's at or what one happens to fish for at the time. We went to LP to fish for the famous LP Stripers however the bite was off but the scenery was made up for the slow fish'n. Just something a little different from out west we wanted to share. Info on Lake Powell Stripers http://www.sltrib.com/outdoors/ci_10631833 ENJOY...at least we hope.

Posts: 477 Location: Iowa | That is great scenery. I was going ask how deep that lake was then you showed the the depth finder. WOW!! I'm ready to come out fishing, and I don't think it would matter that much if they were biting. Very cool lake.

Posts: 531 Location: Hugo, MN | I fished Pleasant Lake near Scottsdale, AZ this last spring, and it was similar. However that might be the most amazing scenery I've ever seen on a lake, period. I'd love to go striper fishing down there some time. My Uncle and I talked about it last time down. That's one non-musky trip I'd actually like to take soon.

| My family had a renunion at Lake Powell around 20 years ago. 40 of us, most from Chicago and few from Southern Cal met out there. We rented 3 house boats from Halls Crossing and had a ski boat and fishing boat in tow. Awesome trip, unbelieveble scenery. The views from some of the cliffs instantly reminded me of how sore I was from a day of cliff diving. The depth finder view did not do the lake justice. There are alot of areas of the lake that are 2000', in some cases 500' just a foot off shore. What I miss most was taking the bed cushions on the roof of the of the house boat and sleeping under the stars without a single bug. | |||
