i dont think ive ever fished a bulldawg without modifying it first and i was wondering what ideas you fisherman have came up to modify a bulldawg???so please post how you modify your bulldawg.....it would be much apriciated. ps I modify my dawgs by putting blades on them and dying them different colors with sharpies. Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | I too will put 1-2 oz bell sinker on the front hook holder to make them run deeper, or I will put a small bb snap and add a size 5 col/blade for more flash. I always take the front t/hooks off, the muskies will inhale most SUPER D DAWGS. | ||

you do understand that muskies eat baits head first - i would never remove the front hooks of any bait. only rear or middle depending on the bait. | |||

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | DA That is why I remore the front hook, so it does not wind up in a muskies gills !!!! Most muskies will suck in a soft plastic bait all the way into it's mouth. | ||

Posts: 355 Location: Wausau, Wisconsin | I agree, open water muskies can hurt themselves on the baits (all baits) in open water. With Bulldawgs I've simply upsized to pounders in open water, they have a harder time swallowing that. No scares yet. | ||
