I've not purchase wood in any quantity and don't need to but, I came across an internet sight www.internetlumber.com . They have a 20BF HobbyPak for various woods. Such as basswood 89.99 and hardmaple 122.99 and I believe it includes S&H. Are these good prices? Do you think 20BF is a lot of wood for a putzer? Thanks!

It seems high to me. i guess it depends on what equipment you have to surface the lumber and cut it to size?

Seems like alot of money to me. Just a few suggestions, maybe. I've got piles of free wood in my garage. There's a guy up the road that makes custom cabinets, another hardwood specialty place in town, farmer up the road has a saw mill, too. All have piles of scrap. My Dad got a pick-up load of Mahogany (prolly luan or similar) from a foundry, scraps from mold fabrication. Scavenger hunt kind of thing, if you've got a table saw to reduce stock you've got it made! Good luck

I agree Woodie........mahogany, the good stuff, is probably my favorite of all woods to work with. It's a bit grainy but heavy and solid but not so hard like maple.

Hard maple will not let teeth dig in. I will help out any bait dealers or hobbie bait makers. The price is not listed for my wood because I have worked out traides or deals with everyone.

I am not looking for board price, heck not even 1/2 of the cost. Just looking to help some of the hobbie guys.

Drop me a pm or e-mail and I will see what we can work out. Boards are 3ft or close in length and 3/4 or 1 3/4 thick. Premium maple here in Pewaukee Wisconsin.
