All of the reports I've read today indicate that the "Cave" is rising rapidly and muddy. Has anyone seen it ?

Sounds like the weather is very bad there, a few people have died in the flooding in Kentucky in the last day. It made the national news and they said that more rain is on the way.

I guess it was real bad in Tenn. and up thru Cumberland in Ky., but I haven't heard reports around Morehead. Weather radar this a.m. showed some hot-looking cells right over the lake, I hear they were moving water thru the dam a couple days ago in expectation. Tomorrow's another day, we'll see. m

The cave was still 1 1/2 foot below summer pool this morning. But it I am sure it almost there by now. It is rising about 1 inch per hour. At least that is what they told me at the visitors center. I live about two miles from the lake at it looked like the back of all coves where muddy. But im sure it wont take long to clear up. I have read about the big cave run outing good luck to those who come down. Dont sound like any local boys where invited since you had to stay at tony's to win any prizes. Any way good luck and have a good time while you are down here. Might even see you on the water.

Jake, I think you can still get in on the prizes, somehow. Not 100% sure. Check with Steve Cady. [:0] Oh, that's right. He's not going. Better check with Jason Smith.[]

Jake-ster, go back and check some of the Outing posts - you can pay your way in and still make it home each night. More the merrier, with this weather I doubt we'll have too many crappie fishermen to contend with. m[]

I must have miss understood I thought you had to stay at the lodge to be involed for the prizes. Sorry. Any way maybe next time some more locals can get involed. We practice catch and release too. Anyway good luck while your down here. Be careful in the high waters. Maybe we will see you on the water.
