I was drving north on I-43 this afternoon through the traffic and construction on the Marquette Interchange in downtown Milwaukee. As I am highly observant, left, right, forward, backward, my eyes are always darting, I noticed a truck in front of me towing a Crestliner with a J-Max 150 motor. Over one of the seats is draped what appears to be a very large net. In the back windows of the truck were decals proclaiming the driver's fondness for Esox Rods. As I didn't fall off the back of a musky boat yesterday, or any day yet for that matter, I quickly deduced that these gentleman were heading to points north to search for fall muskies.

Wanting to spread good will in the musky fishing world, I sped up. While weaving through traffic, I grabbed my work clipboard and unsteadily scrawled a brief, but succinct message in large letters. Pulling up along the passenger side of this truck, I held my message to the window for them to see.

MUSKIES!

The passenger looked out his window with a frown, then smiled broadly and brought my message to the attention of the driver. They both began laughing and giving me the thumbs up. A little positive Mojo was exchanged.

Good luck this weekend, gentlemen, whoever you are, you took the edge off what was becoming a long day.

MuskyHopeful, I'm pretty sure thats not how you do road rage. What do I know, I haven't had a drivers license in 5 years.

All kidding aside, I'm sure that was a boost to their mojo!

Way to go Hopeful! Safe driving be #*^@ed when you gotta make that muskie point.

Old story - I saw a MuskieFirst sticker on a truck/boat in the Wallmart parking lot in Iron Mountain, MI one for-me-very-busy day. Posted my observation that evening and was told it was Theedz who was playing around in the local waters. "No WAY!" I exclaimed. "Way." said he. And shore enough, it was my favorite WI Full Grown Bear.

True Story.

Even funnier, as we were walking into the WalMart I told my wife that I had to keep my eyes open for Rick. Even drove by his house earlier that day but alas, "no one was home".

Rick, I meant you physically were not at the house.

Haha, good stuff. That was me and a buddy headed up to Green Bay. Saw the sign and I was like haha, this guy's writing notes during traffic? maybe he really wants to go??!! Thanks for the mojo but it was a rough trip.

Esox1850,

I tried, Buddy, I tried, but my mojo is not very powerful, unfortunately. If I could get and keep the hooks in one, I can't help but feel it would increase exponentially, thus enabling me to more efficiently transfer it. The goodwill is there, the overall mojo is still lacking.

Hope your trip was fun. That's what it's about anyway, at least in my musky book. Granted my book has only a short table of contents and introduction at this point. More chapters remain to be written.
