Location: Northern Wisconsin
they are close to shore on most lakes. they are really green and skinny like grass and straight up then
curve right under the surface and they all go in the same driection. what is this stuff?

Saute' water celery with water carrots and water onions and you have water mirepoix.

The direction it's pointing indicates the direction of current flow. Some finely tuned muskie fisherman use this to determine which way they are going to drift!

MuskieHopeful probably stole that recipe from the Canvas Back family cook book. Ducks are supposed to really relish water celery.
