Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies Inc stocked 300+ year old muskie in Tonka today. More photos on our site in the photo gallery.
The pic below is of me - I look like a kid on Xmas dAY!

This was the coolest thing I have done with Muskies Inc. Through our boat raffel we are able to stock fish that we raise and/or purchase. I think we have tossed in close to 600 fish this year, with some of the fish over 25 inches. And this is what Muskies Inc is about - giving back to the fishery.

That's awesome Mike.

I hope to be holding a fish like that this Fall, if all goes well. We have a plan in motion, and things are coming together nicely.

It's too bad the MN DNR has Walleye in all it's hatcheries and people have to do things like this themselves, and buy fish from private parties. We did hear that they are going to increase the stocking on a couple of local lakes, but they seem to have a hard time getting fish themselves. I guess they made some deal or something, to get a certain % of fish from private hatcheries, but those same hatcheries are getting better prices from out of state business. What good is it to lobby your tail off to get them to stock more fish in a lake, only to find out the fish aren't available? One local lake was to have fish stocked in the Fall, and didn't get any fish put in till Spring because of this. Better late than never, I guess. My hat's off to you TC for a job well done.

Troy - Haha. U suck man! LOL. Yah I didn't fumble that one up. I only held two fish and a few net loads. Now Treats fumbled a few while trying to get one out for a photo - was pretty funny. Best part - I got slimed!
